Sean Christopher

Organizer of the 007 Meets 2017 Dinner & Dance party, the company's 7th Annual NYE celebration; Founder of Dancing4Fun and co-owner of Dancing4Fun/Salsa ATL Dance Studio.

Sean was a shy and awkward 17-year old Southern Baptist, just graduating from a Christian high school, when his parents took him to his first dance class, hoping this would help him become a little bit more outgoing.

Luckily,  he enjoyed his first dance class. The instructor having his cute daughter helped with class every week had nothing to do with Sean continuing to take lessons for the next few years. {wink wink!}

An Information Technology professional by trade, Sean also studied Online & Direct Marketing & Search Engine Optimization.

In addition, he received his ballroom dance training from several Arthur Murray & Fred Astaire instructors. Sean also traveled around the United States learning how to dance L.A. style Salsa, and Bachata, for many years. Sean also performed and taught at Salsa & Bachata Festivals, Salsa Congresses and events in Atlanta.

There are several things Sean enjoys about dancing and organizing events.  First of all, he enjoys meeting a lot of really nice folks and helping others meet/make new friends.  As a young man, just graduated from high school, learning how to dance helped him become more outgoing and overcame a lot of social challenges in his life. He wants to help others just like him use dance as a way to break out of their shells.

Secondly, he also enjoys the challenges of organizing events, and reinventing himself each and every year.

One of his favorite quotes is by Michael Jordan: “There’s no such thing as failure, only feedback.”

Sean loves learning from mistakes; as a matter of fact, he is motivated by them because then he knows how he can be that much better next time.

“The moment I don’t make any mistakes is the moment I stop growing. So I make as many mistakes as I can, so I can be that much better next time.”

Jorge Elizondo

Jorge Elizondo was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where the sounds of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the United States meet. In this unique environment, Jorge trained in music theory and Latin dance and developed "Bachata Fusion," a style of dance that combines turn patterns and body movements from traditional Bachata, Tango, Cha Cha, and Salsa with many original moves. The end result is an expressive, active style of dance that removes all barriers and allows dancers to be more creative.

Formerly a public school teacher, Jorge's passion for teaching equals his passion for dancing. His Bachata BootCamp tour has taken him to 190 cities throughout North America and Europe, where he has taught tens of thousands of students. Throughout all his journeys, he has continued to develop new concepts to share with the world. He has produced 18 instructional DVDs ranging from beginning bachata to salsa, and his work has been sold in over 40 countries. His strong leading abilities and worldwide exposure also earned him a place in the "World's Best Leads" DVD created by the world-renowned Edie the Salsa Freak.

Jorge's mission is to spread the love of bachata all over the world and encourage people to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Misty

This Southern California born and raised transplant to Georgia has been dancing since high school, where she was a cheerleader and member of a local teen dance team. Misty grew into a beach girl / ocean lover with a country heart.  Thus, her love of dancing began within California’s large Two-step and West Coast Swing (WCS) community.  Having had the privilege of World Champion Martin Parker as her WCS instructor,  Misty briefly braved competing in Pro-Am. Yet, she found herself happiest just laughing with friends out on the dance floor.

Upon first arriving in Georgia, the urge to dance found this transplant to the South disappointed in the country dance scene.  Looking to meet new friends, she found Salsa ATL and quickly found a new passion in Latin dancing. Bachata hooked her completely!  From then on, off came her boots and on went her heels!  She credits the friendships she’s made within Atlanta’s Latin dance community as a large reason she loves living in Georgia.

When Misty is missing from the dance floor, you can bet she’s wandered off somewhere.  This dancing vagabond, enjoys traveling with the beaches of Florida or to Texas, to enjoy time with her family, as frequent, favorite destinations. But no matter where she escapes to, you can bet she’ll be trying to find a dance floor!
